Interview:

What sparked your interest in being an author?

Growing up in a family with 7 other siblings made it harder for everyone to get their point across. Writing gave me that voice and freedom I always wanted to have. Also, taking writing courses in college increased my interest when given liberty to choose my own topics and content.

How did you know you were ready to write your first book?

The passion and drive I had for the message I was writing about made me ready.

What kind of set up or environment do you find to be ideal for thinking and writing?

I like to sit in an open yet quiet room. It gives me the chance to hear from God and feel free to write what’s on my heart.

Where there any stumbling blocks or moments of discouragement that could have prevented you from finding success with producing your first book?

Life constantly tried to distract me from finishing my book. I separated from my husband while writing the book. This made it hard for me to want to keep writing because God gave me this book about protecting the anointing yet my anointing and purpose for both my husband and our ministries at-large were being challenged. God protected us and now we're thriving.

Where there any miracle moments that propelled you further along in your journey of authorship? Knowledge and revelation about the topic was continuously and miraculously downloaded into my spirit giving me the ability to finish the book.

What makes your book unique and how do you think you have impacted others?

My book is unique because of the message. I’m giving people a message of hope for their future while enlightening them on different spiritual tools that will help them on their journey. This gives a fair chance to individuals who aren’t as strong in faith while building up others that may be stronger.

Last question. What do you think your next great read will be?

I’m not sure yet, but I hope it will be one about love and compassion.
