The song says “Just tell Jesus, whenever you’re burdened. He wants you to acknowledge, he is your Lord. In the time of trouble, he’s always on the double. Said he’d never leave you, said he won’t deceive you. Just tell Jesus, tell Jesus. Just tell Jesus all.” But sometimes we forget that he is the one who can do anything about the pain we feel deep in our soul.
Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” When we put our trust and confidence in him we realize that we are confiding in him as we go through each and every one of our situations. Lots of times, things may not work out the way we would have wanted with people in our lives, goals we set, and during obstacles we have been trying to escape for years, sometimes even decades.
Remember, salvation does not exempt the believer from facing problems, but it does warrant a lifelong supply of victory, satisfaction guaranteed. Romans 8:28 states, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” No matter what we face, we can tell Jesus about it, and rest in knowing that it's working out for our good.
“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” (Nahum 1:7) God knows who trusts in him and who does not, we cannot deceive him. If we really are followers of Christ, then we should have absolutely no issue with casting our cares on him. No matter what adversary rises up against a believer, we have the victory. How do we know? Because, Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it.
