Never stop playing with the bubble wrap.

Children are the most sincere human beings on the face of the planet. As children, we cared less about people looking at us dig in our noses or whether or not our shoe laces were tied. We loved our friends and when they trespassed against us we forgave them quickly. Due to our limited and small brains, we didn’t have the mental capability to hold grudges and gossip about one another. Our attention span was short, our long term memory didn’t live up to its name and our ability to hold pragmatic and structurally organized conversations required pre-existing knowledge which is an essential skill to have it you want to gossip about someone.

The word of the Lord says, we must have the heart of a child in order to enter into the kingdom heaven. In the gospel of Matthew 18:3, Jesus says, “And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” The scriptural text deals with the condition of man’s heart, and how God wants it to be pure. A person with a pure heart can appreciate the things in life that others would consider to be valueless.

Just as some children who are more interested in playing with bubble wrap over their actual Christmas gifts, we must stick to what is true to our innate childlike nature and learn how to love sincerely. A lot of people disregard their duty to love and forgive quickly. They feel no one will hold them accountable for not meeting their duty to love their neighbor as a child loves their friend. Forgetting quickly what those who have trespassed against us have done and making amends is necessary so that we can create brand new memories that we will look back on and laugh at in the end.

A major reason why people don’t see God’s blessings flowing is because they don’t have a pure like, child’s heart. Let it go and the blessing will flow.

Prayer: “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Lord we need your help in times where no one wants to show love. Help us to learn how to demonstrate humility and give us empathy for those who also fail to do so when handling us in such situations. Help us to understand that at one time or another, we failed to act with a pure heart. In Jesus name, it is so.

Sincerely yours,
